madison public library x little book project
The Madison Public Library paired with the Little Book Project to create a zine focused around the theme “collaboration” for the fall/winter zine of 2023. In 2023, the Madison Public Library and the Bubbler worked hard on the Our Town Everywhere project, which focused on making self-portraits using different shaped and textured stamps. The library and the Little Book Project thought this was a great fit for the theme, as the portraits from the project make up our community. I was fortunate enough to design everything that would be risograph printed by the Little Book Project team for the collaboration zine.
Our Town Everywhere x Bubbler - Signage
The Our Town project started in Nashville, TN by printmaker Bryce McCloud. The project travelled to Madison, WI and includes pop up events at various locations (including the Madison Public Libraries), where folks will create a self-portrait from stamps that they can trade in for a risograph printed poster. I was brought in by the Bubbler to create instruction signage, takeaway sheets for folks to find their images, a guide for facilitators of the event, and a sticker on the back of the riso prints.
Urban Ecology Center Zine
A zine explaining the wonderful Urban Ecology Center located in Milwaukee, WI. The Urban Ecology Center has after school programs for kids to get involved in science and nature!
Gertrude Elion - a Typography Specimen Book
This typography specimen book is based the life of pharmacologist and biochemist Gertrude Elion, who was very important in the development of new drugs. While telling the story of Gertrude Elion, the story of the typeface Mokoko is also told.
